Silver Maintenance Advice

For cleansing, silver should always be put placed on a soft cloth. For only slightly tarnished, often used silver gently sweeping with a special cleansing glove just like speeping dust will suffice. For "black cases" cleaning foam has to be used. We offer silver cleaning to you as a service.

Cutlery with horn or ivory parts must never be soaked in hot water, as otherwise the cement will dissolve. It's best to wash silver as soon as possible after use (otherwise starch, sald and egg will boost tarnishing) in warm soapy water, rinse with clear warm water and dry carefully. Silver also bears dish washer procedure (but this is not advisable), but never knives with cemented steel blades. Otherwise cement dissolves and repair is expensive.
